Stage 1 to Checkpoint #1 (Kupferberg)

Stage 1 starts from the Windhoek Golf and Country Club in Windhoek with a neutral zone until you turn left at the Western Bypass / Kupferberg intersection. The route then winds it's way up to the top of the Kupferberg pass till it reaches Checkpoint #1.
Portable flush toilets are available.

All the riders of the 2- and 4-person teams as well as the solo riders have to ride this stage.

Complete team needs to sign in at CP#1

No waterpoints on-route in this stage
UPDATE: No support vehicles for Solo riders at this Checkpoint.
