Stage 2 to Checkpoint #2 (Kuiseb)

Stage 2 starts from Checkpoint #1, follows the D1982 gravel road and ends at Checkpoint #2 just past the 2nd bridge at the Kuiseb river crossing. A strong headwind might be encountered on this stage. At around the 40km mark you'll reach Waterpoint #1 just before the descent down the Us pass. For the backmarkers nightfall will arrive on this stage.
Portable flush toilets are available.

After the complete team has signed in at CP#1, the first designated rider of a team departs on Stage 2.
